About Me

Jeff Stead (left) & Ryan Donohue (right) at 2008 Duke Invite
My name is Jeff Stead. I am 24 years old and a graduate of Rider University. I had a fairly successful career their under the coaching of Bob Hamer. In my four years at Rider, I qualified for the IC4A championships each year, was a member of two school record relays (4xmile and DMR), and won numerous Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference medals in both individual and relay events. On the track, I primarily specialized in the 800m and mile. In cross country I was a scoring member in every race I ran and was named to the MAAC all conference team.

Upon graduating Rider, I joined the Breakneck Track Club. The members of Breakneck Track Club are primarily post-collegiate runners from the South Jersey area. In my first official race with Breakneck, we won the Open Team Championship at the 2008 Philadelphia Distance Run. Unfortunately since that race, my running career has hampered with injuries.

In the summer month's, I spend my time in Sea Isle City, NJ. My beach house is made up of Breakneck teammates and close friends. For the last 3 years, Breakneck has been the team champions for the Sea Isle 10 miler, despite the majority of the team not being in shape.
